Games? Inspirational talks? Dinners and dancing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ve been to many of those. They can be fun and energizing \u2013 but let\u2019s be honest: how much of what we talked about actually sticks a month later?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a bit like New Year\u2019s resolutions \u2013 great in the moment, but unless they\u2019re part of a routine, they fade away fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But here\u2019s the thing: Team building doesn\u2019t have to cost a thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It doesn\u2019t even require leaving your office \u2013 or your Teams meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">It\u2019s about <strong>everyday habits.<\/strong>And one of the best ways to build trust and team spirit is\u2026 reading a book together.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>(Or watching a TED Talk \u2013 the idea is the same.)<\/em> You create <strong>shared reflections, conversations and insights<\/strong> \u2013 all of which deepen collaboration and psychological safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And it can be simple and powerful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2705 How to start a book circle at work (or a TED Talk club!)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Before the meeting:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\ud83d\udcec Send out the chapter or clip you want the team to read\/watch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u23f0 Do it a week ahead, to give everyone time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\ud83d\udcac Include 1\u20133 reflection prompts, like:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What made you think?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What did you relate to?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What can we take with us?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\ud83d\udece Bonus: Send a light-hearted reminder a few days before. This isn\u2019t homework \u2013 it\u2019s a fun spark for great conversations!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. During the meeting:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2615 Start with the reflection round as your check-in \u2013 it helps focus and presence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\ud83d\udd04 Let everyone speak for 1\u20132 minutes.
