My Story – From Painter’s Daughter to Leading in Colour

I grew up in an entrepreneurial family as the daughter of a paint shop owner. After school, I helped customers find the right shade for their dreams. Seeing possibilities, mixing colours, and creating something that lasts – it became a natural part of who I am.

When it was time to choose my path of study, I took a completely different route: IT and programming. With a love for math and logic, I threw myself into a whole new world. That first semester, I failed every exam – but I didn’t give up. Five years later, I held a Master’s degree in Computer Science and was teaching programming myself.

Efter studierna började jag på Aptic, där jag blev projektledare och snart produktchef. Det var en intensiv tillväxtfas, där jag fick jobba nära VD:n och kliva in i allt från kundmöten till strategi och affärsutveckling. Jag kastades in i inkassodomänen – en helt ny värld – men älskade utmaningen. När jag lämnade hade jag varit med och byggt upp bolaget i både med- och motgång, med kunder över hela Europa.

Over the years, my interest in people during times of change began to grow. I started to understand how important it is for a leader to not only manage projects – but also emotions, fears, and inner motivation. I had to face both others’ reactions and my own. One day, my body said stop. It was a wake-up call – but also a turning point.

With the support of my manager at the time and a lot of reflection, I found my way back to direction and meaning. I trained to become a certified business coach, which became the next step in my leadership journey. Since then, I’ve held several senior leadership roles and led major transformation programs – often with international teams in IT and finance.

Now I’m in the midst of my next step. I’ve started my own business to contribute even more to sustainable, courageous, and vibrant leadership. I want to show that leadership isn’t about fitting in – it’s about daring to stand in your colours, your direction, and your unique expression.
That’s how real change is created. From the inside – and forward.
